WPRG Logistics – News Letter – August 2011

The holiday season is now coming to a close which is always a difficult time for planning. However, although we had a lot of drivers on leave we did cover our primary and stores plan with consistency. This was simply due to the flexibility and willingness of most drivers to do extra shifts and accept some challenging time changes. So, a heart felt thanks to you all.

It is well known that the tachograph infringement levels of WPRG are consistently the lowest on the Waltham Point site. We have done a lot of work to ensure drivers who do pick up an infringement are made aware of the error and are given the information plus training not to commit the same offence again. It gives me great pleasure in letting you all know that we achieved an all time record with only 1.2% level of infringements last week. This is outstanding and long may it continue. Well done guys and girls, lets see if we can get it below 1%.

We have a number of key performance indicators (KPI's) in the chill hub warehouse, which we are measured on. We have introduced new processes to ensure we don't have misdirected pallets , excessive turn around times and post 19.00hrs deliveries. I can report that we are achieving excellent results across all of these KPI's. However, each of us needs to take responsibility to ensure we continue to perform so well and issues have to be dealt with immediately and effectively. If it's your shift make sure problems are identified and dealt with quickly and communicated to the right people.

Just a reminder that the Christmas period will have a holiday ban from the first week of December to the end of week 1 January.
